OPEN WEEK TOURS AT WESTERN SPRINGS COLLEGE-NGĀ PUNA O WAIŌREA
School tours with the Principal (or a Senior Leader) will take place from Tuesday 15th July 2025 to Friday 18th July 2025 (Term 3, Week 1) and from Wednesday 23rd July to Friday 25th July 2025 (Term 3, Week 2). The tours will start at 9am and take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, and there will be time for a Q&A session at the conclusion of the tour.
Where to meet: WSCW Cafeteria (under the deck; or inside if raining) at 8:50am. Tours start at 9am.
The tour will showcase a normal operating school day at Western Springs College in an Innovative Learning Environment (ILE).

OTHER DATES OF INTEREST
- Whānau wishing to enrol in Ngā Puna o Waiōrea, our Māori immersion kura, will have the opportunity to visit on Waiōrea’s Open Day – Wednesday 13th August 2025 (9:30am to 12:30pm).
- Our Springs New Students Orientation Evening (for incoming Year 9s for 2026) will be held on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 from 5:30pm in the Gymnasium.
*NEW* – OUT OF ZONE ENROLMENTS FOR 2026 (Years 9 + 10 only)
For 2026, Western Springs College will accept enrolments for students in Year 9 or Year 10 who are living out of zone (zone defined by the Western Springs College Enrolment Scheme), according to out of zone priorities 2 – 6.
For 2026, this will be capped at 30 out of zone places for Year 9 students and 30 out of zone places for Year 10 students.
Applications for out of zone enrolments will be processed in the following order of priority:
(Priority 1 is given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in the special programme run by the school and approved by the Secretary of Education:
Ngā Puna o Waiōrea Rumaki Te Reo Māori immersion Kura, Years 9 – 13).
Priority 2: siblings of current students.
Priority 3: siblings of former students.
Priority 4: children of a former student of the school.
Priority 5: children of staff employed at the college or members of the college board.
Priority 6: all other applicants not covered in the above categories.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot.
Timeline for Out of Zone Enrolments 2026 (Years 9 & 10 only):
- Week 1, Term 3 – Out of Zone enrolments open.
- Wednesday 27 August – Out of Zone Applications close.
- Wednesday 3 September – Out of Zone students notified by email.
- Friday 5 September – confirmed acceptance of Out Of Zone place.
