Celebrating 150 years of firefighting in Auckland – free open day (Sun 17 Mar 2024)

Experience 150 years of firefighting history in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland at a free public open day on Sunday, March 17th 2024.

Today, Fire and Emergency in Tāmaki Makaurau serves and protects a population of more than 1.3 million Aucklanders using the latest fire trucks, equipment, and technology with paid and volunteer staff.  

From 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday 17th of March, a remarkable showcase charting this evolution will be on display at an all-ages open day at The Cloud on Queens Wharf in central Auckland.
