International Student Photograph Competition

In May (Term 2, 2025), the International Student Leaders and the International Student Office launched the International Student Photograph Competition to encourage international students to share their positive experiences in New Zealand and at Springs — through their own eyes and cameras.

We received an impressive 81 entries, and we are excited to announce the winners:

First Prize: Max Limberger and Lloyd Wang

Second Prize: Ida Valentien and Dinare Haimiti

Third Prize: Emily Wang, Lareina Jiang, and Jiani Wu

Max Limberger – “I Became a Warriors Fan”
Max submitted a series of story-telling photographs featuring himself as a rugby fan. His images captured special New Zealand moments — with his homestay pet, at the beach with his host family, riding the Auckland bus with classmates, and exploring iconic sites like Hobbiton. Each photo highlighted the everyday beauty of Kiwi life.
