It’s been a great wrap up to 2022 in the library with some new purchases, a pizza lunch for the library monitors, and a new story-time initiative to boost engagement with literature.

Congratulations to Zephyr Bird who received the “Services to the Library Award” for 2022. Zephyr played a central role in developing the Library Week quiz and keeping the library running smoothly.

In anticipation of the curriculum changes to English next year and the new focus on Māori and Pasifika texts, the library went on a spree upgrading our collection of Māori texts. Highlights include: Tunui | Comet by Robert Sullivan; How to Loiter in a Turf War by Coco Solid; Atua by Gavin Bishop; and Ransack by essa may ranipiri.
