Matariki Career Evening 2020

This was a special, still, warm spring evening event for our Māori and Pasifika whanau and tauira. Not only was the event informative and enjoyable, but it also gave an opportunity to showcase our beautiful Whare Tapere.  Hosts enjoyed meeting our tauira and sharing their own varied career journeys.  Photos include just a few of many of our hosts; John Kahukiwa, a lawyer, Junior Toialoa from Uni of Auckland, Tyla, a tattoo artist!  Special thankyou to all who presented (including many ex-Rumaki students who are now professionals in their chosen field), but special thankyou to Kaiako Alice Heather who was the main organiser and Tracey Watkinson who was in charge of the kitchen – we all really appreciated the delicious kai!!!
