A huge congratulations to our 4 speakers who partook in this years 2018 annual Ngā Manu Kōrero Regional Speech competition. Ngā Puna o Waiōrea were very fortunate to place in all four divisions:
Senior English 1st Place Overall: Piripi Gordon
Senior Māori 3rd Place Overall & Best Female Speaker: Atakura Hunia
Junior English 1st Place Overall: Ayziah Wilson
Junior Māori 2nd Place Overall: De Vhante Marsters-Herewini
Piripi Gordon and Ayziah Wilson will be heading to Gisborne in September to represent our Region at the National Ngā Manu Kōrero Competition.
