World Indigenous Peoples’ Conference on Education (WIPCE) 2025
In mid-November, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland became a focal point for Indigenous knowledge and education, as 3,800 educators and leaders from across Aotearoa New Zealand and the world gathered for the World Indigenous Peoples’ Conference on Education (WIPCE) 2025. It’s the first time in 20 years that Aotearoa has hosted this event, uniting voices from across the world to celebrate, preserve and advance Indigenous knowledge, languages and ways of learning.
A group of NPoW ākonga were privileged to be invited to take part in a pōwhiri in the early morning of Monday, November 17th.
