CAA (Common Assessment Task) digital exams will be held in the first week of September. Year 10 students/ākonga and any senior student/ākonga who have not yet passed these compulsory Literacy and Numeracy exams will be required to attend.

It is vital that students/ākonga have the correct devices to sit these exams digitally. No tablets (including iPads) are allowed.

CAA Exam timetable:

Monday September 1st  Period 2 – Literacy Reading
Tuesday September 2nd Period 2 – Literacy Writing
Wednesday September 3rd Period 2 – Numeracy

Workshops supporting students/ākonga to prepare for the September CAA are held on Wednesday after school. The workshop schedule is here.

Attendance has increased markedly in the last few weeks. Attending workshops is especially encouraged for Year 10 students seeking additional support for their literacy and numeracy learning and senior students yet to achieve all CAAs.

For each workshop, students can choose to focus on reading, writing, or numeracy. A willingness to collaborate with other students, especially Year 13 leaders, is helpful.

Numeracy workshops take place in KHCL Kawakawa while literacy workshops are in KHCL Pōhutukawa.
