WSC Alumna, Sophia Jones, has been selected as one of the Top 120 designers from 22 countries to feature in the 33rd iteration of the world-renowned World of WearableArt (WOW) Show, which showed at the TSB Arena in Wellington in September and October of this year.
Sophia (known as Sophie) was part of Moana House and she left Springs in 2019 and she went on to study Fashion Design in Wellington (in her final year of a Bachelor of Design with Honours, Massey University). To the right is one of Sophia’s designs from her Year 13 Textiles Technology portfolio when she was a finalist in the “Walk the Line” youth fashion competition in 2019.
Sophie was selected as one of 63 Finalist Designers from New Zealand (bottom row, 4th image along). This is such an exciting opportunity for Sophie’s work to be showcased in such a prestigious show – we wish you all the best!
