Last month, 50 of our students took part in the 48 Hour Film Challenge, an intense filmmaking event where teams had just one weekend to write, shoot, and edit a complete short film. The challenge began with the reveal of key elements that had to be included in their films.

The finished films were screened as part of the Heats over the last two weekends. We’re thrilled to announce that three of these amazing films have been selected as 3 of the 5 finalists for the Auckland Regional Final! This is a huge accomplishment with the winners announced at the regional finals in the upcoming school holidays. The winning school team may have the opportunity to compete in the Grand Final in Wellington later in the year.

The teams selected were:
Despicable We: Charlie Hopkins; Kaya Locke, Miller Andrews, Pascale Rive, Stanley Browne
Les Garcons: Pierre Donsimoni, Jed Leeves, Eamonn Grayson-Hobbs, Liam Brannigan (second year in a row for this team)
Flip Phone: Miles Hodgetts, Archie Crayford, Maxine Allen
