We are seeking a part-time Teacher Aide for our ESOL Department at Western Springs College-Ngā Puna o Waiōrea. The position is fixed term (for 2026 school year), term-time only and during school hours (9:00am to 3:10pm on Mondays to Fridays; total 27.5 hours per week). The start date is ideally as soon as possible in Term 1, 2026 (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).
Responsibilities include providing assistance to ESOL students and their subject teachers, and some administrative support to the ESOL Department.
TEFL/TESOL qualification, experience teaching ESOL students, additional language ability, and some subject knowledge in the Social Sciences, Science and/or Mathematics would be beneficial to your application. A willingness to facilitate inclusion and learning is imperative.
WSCW is a Living Wage employer, and the terms & conditions of employment are in accordance with the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement.
You must be eligible to work in Aotearoa New Zealand, and appointment is subject to a satisfactory Police vetting application & safety check.
