Our 2025 WSCW School Ball recently took place again at the Ellerslie Event Centre, in the ground floor Newmarket Room. The theme, chosen by the 2025 Events Leaders (Kahukura Harrison-Rudolph & Aiyana Wanakore-Chase from Waiōrea; Christie Blair, Isireli Damu, Milla Mckenzie-Brown & Amelia Wigram from WSC) at our first planning meeting, was “Midnight in Kyoto“.
As per usual and in true Springs-Waiōrea style, all of our students & staff looked stunning with some students creatively embracing the Japanese theme of the night.
The dance floor was packed for the majority of the night, thanks to DJ Paulie from NZDJ – who totally understood the Springs-Waiōrea vibe!
A special thanks to all the staff, students and other people who supported our Deputy Principal (Anna Witten-Sage) and our Principal’s Executive Assistant (Asha Vaidya) bring this massive event together – there were many hands that helped in bring this event together!
Thank you also to the following suppliers who also helped us bring the event together:
- Impressions (Wedding & Event Design) – Asha’s company that helped bring it all together!
- First Scene Props – for the wonderful props that helped set the scene for the night!
- La Lumiere – thanks to our Springs parent, Kristina Ercolano, who helped create the amazing entrances for our ākonga/students to walk through, as well as the dancefloor disco balls!
- NZDJ (Kieran Bell) – for introducing the fantastic DJ Paulie to us!
- Cactus Photography (Gino Demeer) – for the fabulous photos taken on the night!
