WSCW 2025 School Ball

The WSCW 2025 School Ball will be held on Saturday 14th June 2025 at the Ellerslie Events Centre again, in their biggest ballroom on the ground floor (Newmarket Room).

The 2025 Events Leaders (Christie Blair, Isireli Damu, Aiyana Wanakore-Chase, Kahukura Harrison-Rudolph, Milla Mckenzie-Brown & Amelia Wigram) are busy making preparations for the Ball.

Please be aware there are only 650 spaces available. To accommodate as many of our students as possible, tickets will be open to Year 13 students a week prior to Year 12s. Year 13s wanting to bring an outside partner should ensure they use this presale week to secure their tickets, after which tickets will be available for Year 12s to purchase. All outside partners must be at least Year 12.

In order to be eligible to attend, your young person must have at least an 85% attendance record for 2025 (lates & absences from whānau class will contribute to their attendance record). However, we will take into account any bereavement, medical leave, approved leave and school trips that may have impacted their attendance. Ball form needs to be signed by their Head of House or our Year 13 Academic Director affirming that their attendance and behaviour record meets the criteria. All senior students have been made aware of this criteria.

The cost of each Ball ticket will be $160. Here are the key dates to be aware of:

• From Monday 28 April 2025 (first day of Term 2) – Ball forms will be available from the main WSC office.
• Monday 5th May to Friday 9th May 2025 – 1-week presale period for Year 13 students only to hand in their Ball form & pay for their ticket.
• Monday 12th May to Friday 30th May 2025 – For any Year 13 & 12 WSCW students to hand in their Ball form & pay.

Ball forms should be handed in as early as possible to assist with efficient processing. The office will only accept Ball forms at morning tea, lunchtime or after school during the above dates – please do not come during class time, even if you have a free period.
