Key Dates for Term 4, 2024

Kia ora Springs-Waiorea (WSCW) whānau, below are the key dates for Term 4, 2024 for WSCW:

Monday, October 14th – Term 4 starts (students should be at school by 8:50am)
Wednesday, October 16th – Media Gala night (6:00pm to 7.30pm in Te Hōro/Hall)
Thursday, October 24th – WSCW Pasifika Prize-Giving (6:00pm start)
Friday, October 25th – WSCW Sports Prize-Giving (2:00pm start)
Monday, October 28th – Labour Day holiday (school closed)
Tuesday, October 29th – Y12 and Y13 Workshops and Tutorials begin
Wednesday, October 30th – Y13 Leavers Event (4:30pm onwards; more details will follow) and Special Awards Prize-Giving (6:45pm start; all guests should be seated by 6:30pm)
Thursday, October 31st – Y12 Prize-Giving (4:00pm onwards)
Thursday, October 31st – Senior Art, Media and Technology Departments – student work exhibition in Level 1 KHCL (3:30pm-5:00pm)

Tuesday, November 5th – NCEA examinations begin
Monday, November 11th – Board Hui
Thursday, November 14th – Last day for WSC Year 11 students/ākonga & Y11 Prize-Giving (4pm start at Ponsonby Intermediate School)
Monday, November 25th to Friday, November 29th – WSC Year 9 camps (see our previous news item here)
Friday, November 29th – NCEA examinations end

Tuesday, December 3rd – Y9 Social Studies Sustainability Craft Market (9:30am to 12noon in Level 2 KHCL)
Thursday, December 5th – NPoW Prize-Giving
Monday, December 9th – Board Hui (final one for 2024)
Tuesday, December 10th – New students (2025) orientation (5:30pm start in Gym)
Monday, December 9th to Wednesday, December 11th – Waiōrea Juniors (Y9 + Y10) camp
Wednesday, December 11th – Annual Beach Picnic/Beach Day
Thursday, December 12th – WSCW Junior Prize-Giving (10am start in Gym); LAST DAY (Term 4 ends)
