WSCW 2026 School Ball – Save the Date!

The WSCW 2026 School Ball will be held on Saturday 25th July 2026 (i.e. end of Week 1, Term 3) at the Ellerslie Events Centre again, in their biggest ballroom on the ground floor (Newmarket Room).

The 2026 Events Leaders (Lyla Pollock, Rosa Broom, Manawanui Maniapoto Mills, Manaaki Kearns, Katana Tata-Adams and Millie Waugh) and our new group of staff/kaiako are busy making preparations for the Ball. The cost of each Ball ticket will be $160 – so start saving now! Tickets will soon be available via KINDO and we will alert our eligible students and whānau when these are available to purchase.

Please be aware there are only ~600 tickets available for students. To accommodate as many of our students as possible, tickets will be open to Year 13 students for a pre-sale period prior to Year 12s. Year 13s wanting to bring an outside partner should ensure they use this presale period to secure their tickets, after which tickets will be available for Year 12s to purchase. All outside partners must be at least Year 12.

In order to be eligible to attend, your young person must have at least a 90% attendance record for 2026, which in simple terms equates to missing only 1 day per fortnight. Note that lates & absences from whānau class will contribute to their attendance record. However, we will take into account any bereavement, medical leave, approved leave and school trips that may have impacted their attendance. Ball form needs to be signed by their Head of House or our Year 13 Academic Director affirming that their attendance and behaviour record meets the criteria. All senior students have been made aware of this criteria.
