The last week of the term 1 was a busy, but successful, one for all of our Ngā Puna o Waiōrea (NPoW) ākonga, kaiako, tutors and whānau involved in the Polyfest 2023 Māori Stage Competition, which was held at the Due Drop Event Centre in Manukau.
NPoW had a three competitive teams and one non-competitive team entered this year:
- O Rehu performed in Division 3
- Ngā Oho performed in Division 2
- The non-competitive group (Whakangahau) performed in the lunch break
- Waiōrea performed in Division 1
Final results were O Rehu placing 2nd in Division 3, Ngā Oho placing 1st in Division 2, and Waiōrea placing 1st in Division 1 – KA RAWE!!!
