NZ Secondary Schools Swimming Championships – July 2024

Building on their impressive performance in recent years, Springs sent a four-member team to the NZ Secondary Schools Swimming Championships, held at the Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre (AUT Millennium, Auckland) on Thursday 25th July-Sunday 28th July, 2024. This prestigious event brings together the top secondary school swimmers from across the country to compete for national titles and the accolade of top schools.

The Springs team—Tom Kenny, Abigail Sharp, Erica Orbell, and Liam France—achieved notable results, securing 5th place in the mixed freestyle relay and 9th place in the mixed medley relay. Additionally, Erica and Tom delivered noteworthy individual performances: Erica set a personal best in the 50m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle, while Tom achieved personal bests in the 50m butterfly and 200m butterfly (where he placed 7th).
