In the first week of Term 4, on Tuesday 18th October 2022, the Stars are the Limit Careers Evening will held for Māori & Pasifika students of Western Springs College-Ngā Puna o Waiōrea – offering them the opportunity to see and korero with Māori & Pasifika adults from the community offering them a wide range of work roles to consider.

The event will start at 6pm in Te Rehu, our new performing arts building in Ngā Puna o Waiōrea. Te Rehu will be set up into 7 different areas of occupations: Health, Business, Media/Arts, Services, Trades, Technology and Recreation/Sports. There will be 2 to 6 different occupations at each area. The tertiary providers will be set up on the ground floor of our teaching block Waioteao (to the side of the marae).

The night will begin with a mihi (welcome), karakia and some general information about careers.  Thereafter, the students and their families will then split up to go to the careers they have selected. The students will have 15 minutes at each career they select before a bell is rung for them to move on to the next area with 5 minutes in between.  The students will be able to rotate to five different careers.
