Chloe Swarbrick’s visit to Springs this week to meet with our Year 13 students has…

Do you have a wasp problem? Or want to prepare for the spring wasp outbreak.
My name is Aiden Teviotdale and I’m a year 12 student at Southland Boys High School. My team and I have designed TrapCap.
Trap Cap is an easy and simple, soda bottle screw on cap that turns any used soda bottle into an effective and child safe wasp trap. We have designed this product with sustainability in mind, as it encourages the use of recycled bottles while helping reduce wasp populations around your school, garden, or anywhere with a wasp problem. Its small entry holes are carefully sized to keep bees safe, making it an environmentally responsible solution. This could also be a cool learning opportunity for kids to learn about wasps and have a fun time. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to email trapcap.wasptrap@gmail.com.
If you would like to buy one you can order one from our website.
