For 2027, Western Springs College will accept enrolments for students in Year 9 or Year 10 who are living out of zone (i.e. zone defined by the Western Springs College Enrolment Scheme), according to out of zone priorities 2 – 6.

For 2027, this will be capped at 30 out of zone places for Year 9 students and 5 out of zone places for Year 10 students. However, the Board may extend this number at its discretion should space become available.

Applications for Out of Zone enrolments will be processed in the following order of priority:

(Priority 1 is given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in the special programme run by the school and approved by the Secretary of Education:
Ngā Puna o Waiōrea Rumaki Te Reo Māori immersion Kura, Years 9 – 13).

Priority 2: siblings of current students.

Priority 3: siblings of former students.

Priority 4: children of a former student of the school.

Priority 5: children of staff employed at the college or members of the college board.
