On Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd of July Waste Wise ran a clothes swap in the hall where students were given the opportunity to combat fast fashion by swapping second-hand clothes instead of purchasing and throwing away new ones. In the months preceding it students and staff from WSCW generously donated over two and a half rubbish bins worth of unwanted clothes that likely would have otherwise gone to landfill. Over the two lunchtimes, hundreds of students came to acquire clothes in a more sustainable, free fashion and to minimise waste all the leftover clothes are being donated to charity op shops.
